Voltified Energy at the Ministry of Energy

On 12 August 2026, the Voltified Energy team met at the Ministry of Energy’s headquarters in Warsaw to present technology addressing one of the electric-mobility market’s greatest challenges: the lack of independent, comparable information about EV battery health and value. Discussions covered the BHV — Battery Health Value system, Trust-Score, the Voltified Certificate, the Fleet Intelligence platform, the digital battery passport and potential applications of the technology in fleets, leasing and the used-car market.

Voltified Energy at the Ministry of Energy

On 12 August 2026, the Voltified Energy team took part in a working meeting at the Ministry of Energy’s headquarters in Warsaw. The Polish technology company presented the concept of an independent system for diagnosing, certifying, monitoring and valuing traction batteries in electric cars and plug-in hybrids.

Discussions covered EV battery diagnostics, the BHV — Battery Health Value indicator, the Trust-Score system, the three-page Voltified Certificate, the Voltified Fleet Intelligence platform and the future digital battery passport, among other topics.

The meeting was a substantive working discussion. Its aim was to present problems in the electric-car market and explain how independent battery diagnostics can support drivers, dealers, fleet operators, leasing companies, insurers and financial institutions.

On the institutional and industry side, a total of four people took part, representing the Ministry of Energy, the Ministry of Development and Technology, and the defence industry.

Participants included Dariusz Kucel, Director of the Ministry of Energy’s Department of Electromobility, Fuels and Hydrogen Economy. The department’s responsibilities include tasks relating to electric-mobility development, the alternative-fuels market and the hydrogen economy.

The discussions covered not only the technology itself, but also potential applications, standardising battery information, using data in purchasing and financial processes, and possible pilot projects.

Why are independent EV battery diagnostics needed?

The traction battery is one of the most expensive and important components of an electric car. Its actual condition affects range, predictability of use, operating costs and the vehicle’s value on the used-car market.

One of the most commonly used parameters is SoH — State of Health, an estimate of battery condition relative to its initial state. A single SoH result, however, does not always give the full picture.

Two cars with similar SoH results may differ in charging history, frequency of DC fast-charger use, stability of parameters, rate of degradation, usage patterns and expected battery life.

The lack of a uniform, independent way to present this information also remains a market problem. It makes vehicles harder to compare and increases information asymmetry between sellers and buyers.

Voltified Energy is developing a solution intended to turn complex technical data into clear, comparable and practical information that supports technical, purchasing and financial decisions.

What did Voltified Energy present at the Ministry of Energy?

The meeting introduced the four most important elements of the ecosystem under development.

(1) BHV — Battery Health Value

BHV is a proprietary indicator being developed by Voltified Energy to connect information about a battery’s technical condition with its economic significance.

BHV is intended to help assess not only the battery’s current condition, but also its expected usefulness and impact on an electric car’s residual value.

(2) Trust-Score

Trust-Score is a system component designed to provide a structured assessment of the reliability, completeness and comparability of the data used to evaluate a battery.

The aim of Trust-Score is to make it easier for users to understand the basis on which a result was prepared and the decision-making value of the information collected.

(3) The Voltified Certificate

The Voltified Certificate is a three-page document containing the diagnostic result, structured battery parameters, data interpretation and an expert opinion.

The document is intended to make it easier to assess an electric car before purchase, sale, the end of a lease, entry into a fleet, or the start of a financing or insurance process.

(4) Voltified Fleet Intelligence

Voltified Fleet Intelligence is a platform under development for EV and PHEV fleet operators, leasing companies, CFM businesses and other organisations managing larger numbers of electric cars.

The platform is intended to combine diagnostic, telematics and charging-history data. Its role is to monitor SoH, BHV, Trust-Score, degradation rates and vehicles’ expected residual values.

The system is also intended to support the detection of improper charging behaviour, service planning, optimisation of total fleet ownership costs (TCO), vehicle remarketing and ESG reporting.

Battery diagnostics and the digital battery passport

The development of the digital battery passport was another topic of discussion. Regulation (EU) 2023/1542 of the European Parliament and of the Council provides that, from 18 February 2027, electric-vehicle batteries placed on the market or put into service will have an electronic battery passport.

The passport is intended to support traceability, access to technical information and monitoring of the battery life cycle.

Voltified Energy is developing its technology with this regulatory direction in mind. The company’s aim is to create data infrastructure that can support reliable monitoring of battery health, history, degradation and value at successive stages of use.

The Voltified Energy team

The meeting was attended by an interdisciplinary team combining expertise in business, finance, technology, materials and quality:

  • Gabriel Markut — CEO and President of Voltified Energy, responsible for strategy, business development and building partnerships;

  • Dariusz Chrzan — CFO of Voltified Energy, responsible for finance, the business model and the economic dimension of the solution;

  • Tomasz Piwowarski, MSc Eng. — CTO of Voltified Energy, responsible for the technological architecture and system development;

  • Beata Staniszewska, MSc Eng. — responsible for product certification, materials science and quality-management systems.

Combining these specialisms allows Voltified Energy to view the battery simultaneously as an advanced technical system, a key component of vehicle value and a source of data needed for responsible risk management.

Who can use Voltified Energy’s solutions?

The ecosystem under development may meet the needs of many participants in the electric-mobility market:

  • drivers buying or selling an electric car;

  • dealers and used-car traders offering used EVs and PHEVs;

  • fleet operators and companies managing company cars;

  • leasing companies and CFM providers;

  • banks and vehicle-financing institutions;

  • insurers analysing risk and asset value;

  • classified-advertising and auction platforms;

  • organisations involved in battery reuse and recycling.

In each of these cases, independent, comparable data can reduce uncertainty and make decisions easier.

What does the meeting mean for Voltified Energy’s development?

The proposals presented received a positive response and prompted substantive discussion about practical applications of the system.

The talks opened up opportunities for further knowledge exchange and analysis of possible pilot projects for fleets, leasing companies, dealers, financial institutions and other market participants.

What is Voltified Energy?

Voltified Energy is a Polish technology company developing independent solutions for diagnosing, certifying, monitoring and valuing traction batteries in electric cars and plug-in hybrids.

The Voltified Energy ecosystem includes mobile battery diagnostics, the BHV — Battery Health Value indicator, Trust-Score, the three-page Voltified Certificate and the Voltified Fleet Intelligence platform.

The company’s mission is to reduce information asymmetry in the electric-mobility market and establish a data-based standard of trust.

Polish technology for Europe’s electric-mobility market

Voltified Energy wants to build technology that not only responds to changes in the electric-mobility market, but can also help shape standards used in Poland and other European countries.

The visit to the Ministry of Energy was an important stage in that journey. Further tests, discussions, research and development, and preparation of pilot projects lie ahead for the team.

The goal remains to create a reliable, scalable system that makes an electric car’s battery condition a known quantity.

Organisations interested in battery diagnostics, technology partnerships, system integration or a pilot project are invited to contact Voltified Energy.
